“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results- Albert Einstein”.

This has challenged me to keep forging forward and not be afraid to make the necessary changes.

“If you are clear about your goals and take several steps in the right direction every day, eventually you will succeed.” Jack Confield.

I was convicted recently when I heard that everything happens 3 times- in our heads, on paper and in reality. I was reminded of the importance of writing down my hopes, dreams and goals. They become clearer once they go from my head and onto the paper. This then makes the ideas on paper to become a reality on the farm, in my life etc. (I heard this recently on a Farm Owner Academy podcast).

As I meander (or more accurately scurry) around the farm I like to educate myself on many varied topics..after all who has time to sit down and read? And, Yes, I do spend much time outside…always many jobs to do!

This month I have read (well listened to) Six marketing books. Can you tell I really want to promote the benefits of buying our pastured chickens? My favourite was “The secrets of closing the sale” by Zig Ziglar.

I also listened to “Your successful farm business” by Joel Salatin and “Courtship after Marrirage” by Tom and Zig Ziglar.

And, some favourite podcasts from this month:

Joel Salatin on Breaking Out of Conventionality, Community Building, Alternate Food Systems, and More

Homesteading Family’s Josh Thomas on Perspective and Attitude

The Great Taking – Discussion between Catherine Austin Fitts and Dr. Mercola

Discovering the Secrets to a Lifelong Romance (Part 1 of 2)

1KHO 244: Practical Skills Never Disappoint | Joel Salatin, Homestead Tsunami

463: A Fresh Approach To EMFs, Smart Meters, 5G, & Vaccines

So, if you need something to listen to, these were all really interesting. Hopefully you will enjoy  (and be challenged by) them, as much as I did.

Did you know:

Pastured Eggs have the highest Vit. A. According to research done by Weston. A Price foundation pastured eggs have the highest level of Vitamin A when compared to other eggs. Vitamin A has a vital role within the human body’s immune system. With an effective immune system, the body can more readily fight off infection or other disease. Vitamin A is also instrumental in helping heart, lung, and other organ function.
